Visual representation of diversity in mainstream society is a powerful thing, working wonders for the self-esteem and collective social Identity of people from social groups that have been historically underrepresented in these institutions. Stock photography has allowed me to contribute to the reversal of negative stereotypes about the marginalized; to paint a REAL picture of how people from these groups experience the world.
